Our Wellness Ministry is rooted in Christ and the understanding that our lives, bodies, time and relationships are gifts from God. Caring for ourselves allows us to better serve our families, our neighbors and the people God has placed in our lives. Through opportunities for self-care, caring for others and grief & support, we encourage one another through every season of life. Wellness isn't about putting ourselves first, it's about faithfully caring for what God has entrusted to us. Together, we look to Jesus for strength, comfort and hope as we care for ourselves and one another.
Taking care of ourselves helps us stay healthy, connected and ready to serve the people God has placed in our lives. Through opportunities like exercise groups, Walking Wednesdays and other wellness activities, we encourage one another to care for the bodies and lives God has given us while enjoying fellowship along the way.
Walking Wednesday is a fun and relaxed way to connect with others while exploring the communities around us. Each week, we carpool to a local destination, enjoy a walk together and gather for supper afterwards. Whether you're looking for fellowship, fresh air, exercise or simply an opportunity to get out and about, there's a place for you! All ages and activity levels are welcome. Come when you can and join us as we build friendships one step at a time.
Walking Wednesdays will be for 12 weeks this summer in the NYM/area towns followed by supper at a local restaurant. Our last walk of the summer is Wednesday, August 26th. Meet at Trinity Lutheran Church at 5:00pm to rideshare.

Workouts with Gen
Join Gen for exercise in the Parish Hall. We follow a video that has both chair and standing exercise for 1 hour. Check our church calendar for dates available. Typically start in the fall and continue through spring.
Caring for others is one way we can share Christ’s love in meaningful, practical ways. Through ministries like Prayer Shawls and other acts of encouragement and service, we use the gifts God has given us to bring comfort, care, and connection to those who need it.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us all in our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Prayer Shawl Ministry Mission:
To share God’s love with members of our church and community who are suffering or in crisis as a loving reminder of God’s comfort and presence by giving them a prayer shawl to wrap around their shoulders and feeling God’s unending love.
Want to join?
Any member that is willing to knit or crochet prayer shawls are welcome to join. The knitter prays for the recipient receiving the shawl as they knit or crochet. The prayer may be for God’s love and strength to envelop them as they wrap the shawl around their body. There is no cost to you to be a part of this ministry. Yarn and needles are available in the church narthex. LWML pays for the yarn that is purchased.
What to do?
Make the shawls with the yarn provided as your time allows. Bring the shawl to church when done. There are blank cards to fill out with your name, yarn color, date, and the prayer you said to clip onto shawl. Place in the church narthex bookcase, or leave in the church office with the info above.
Who receives the Prayer Shawls?
The pastor or church office staff usually knows who might need a prayer shawl. At times, a church member may know someone who really needs God’s love in the form of a prayer shawl and may inform the pastor or bring it to the person themselves.
Widows of Trinity is a welcoming place to gather, connect, and enjoy fellowship with other women who understand the journey of losing a spouse. We meet one Wednesday each month at 1:30 PM for time in God’s Word, dessert, games, conversation, and plenty of visiting. Come as you are and enjoy an afternoon of friendship, encouragement, and Christ-centered fellowship. Check our church calendar for upcoming dates.
